Early-Stage Business Development Role:
As an early-stage BD, you will need to be scrappy, flexible, and creative. You will help us find early users, broker deals, manage partnerships, and identify growth strategies for a portfolio of new AI products and services.
- Identify target market, early users, and develop relationships with prospective customers.
- Develop simple and easy to understand business case pitch to potential customers.
- Build, manage and prioritize BD pipeline.
- Identify good-fit potential customers and build / manage relationship.
- Identify areas for strategic leverage.
- Represent company well and plan/prepare/conduct external meetings and presentations.
- Identify customer needs and work with team to incorporate feedback to.
- Structure win-win relationships and projects, convert into sales.
- Collaborate with product & ENG teams on product specs and provide customer feedback.
- Become an expert on products, use cases, and industry. Help us find new markets and opportunities to bring our products to market.
- Ability to wear multiple hats including BD, sales, and product development.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and iterative development as we are operating like a startup building new AI businesses.
- High-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate and track record of leading successful B2B sales deals.
- Experience with design, implementation & iteration of business development strategy.
- Experience in early-stage startups or new ventures.
- Background in Business, Marketing or other related fields.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter.
- Executing in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience and understanding of AI/ML/Data Science products.
- Ability to communicate well in English and Chinese.
- Ability to travel to meet with potential overseas clients.
